Where should one start the journey to this peak? There is a popular route from Ostravice, which can also be reached by train; the direct route from the train station is about 8 km. It is also advisable to buy snacks and drinks in Ostravice if you do not already have them, as there will be no shopping on the way up or down. There are also routes from the Schanze Reservoir and the village of Vila. If you choose the first route, i.e., from Ostravice, you will walk about 2 km on an asphalt road, passing local houses, and the road becomes rocky as you enter the forest. It is recommended not to push yourself too hard for the first kilometer. The slope is quite steep and challenging, and the path is muddy in places, but this route is manageable for the average hiker.

On the way, you may come across a spring. After a few kilometers, you will reach a fork where you can sit down and rest for a while before the next difficult climb awaits. After the rest, you will have to follow the meandering route again, but this part is much more interesting, with narrow alleys in places and sometimes beautiful views. After the narrow alleys and the final steep climb to the top, the final ascent to the summit awaits, passing the John Lennon monument erected in 1982, and a short distance later, the finish line.
