Light bulbs have many great features that we all need. Choosing the right one is important because if you choose the right one, you won\’t have to replace it for a long time. Don\’t make your decision based on price alone. There are fourbasic choices.
- classic (60W),
- halogen (42W),
- energy-saving (12W),
- LED frosted (9.5W) and clear (6W) bulbs. Sizes and finishes also vary. Otherwise, the products would not fit and would be unusable even if economically feasible. At the same time, the market enjoys an abundance of shapes. It is up to you to decide what design you want.
Create a pleasant atmosphere
You can easily create a certain mood by the intensity and color of the light; in the case of LED bulbs, luminous intensity is expressed in units of lumens (Lm). Think of it this way: the more lumens, the brighter the light. In other words, for a 60-watt fluorescent bulb, you need 700 lumens of LEDs.
Color is expressed in Kelvin (K)and can be found on the package. The lower the value, the higher the temperature, i.e. warmer. Cold colors with values around 6500 K are suitable for work spaces. Warm colors, on the other hand, are suitable for domestic spaces. Ideally, warm whites with values below 3300 K should be chosen. There are several factors that should be considered when choosing a light: energy efficiency , lifespan, start-up time (time until full light is on), dimmability, and disposal. Some can be placed in a special box after use, while others can be disposed of as municipal waste without endangering the environment.
As you can see, there are many important aspects to look at. But the fundamental thing is that we must feel good. We spend most of our free time at home, so we need to feel as comfortable there as possible. Focus on the criteria that are most important to you and buy accordingly.
